In 2007, I started looking again for a motorcycle. When I was a teenager I owned my first motorcycle, it was a 1963 Honda Scrambler 305cc. I spent all of my time fixing it then riding it.  I told myself then that if I ever got another motorcycle it was going to be a new one.  Well in early 2008 , my wife and myself started seriously  looking for a motorcycle. At this time I had moved to Peru, which has a lot of Chinese motos, which are much cheaper in price than the ones made in Japan, Korea and else where.  This site was suppose to be my experiences with my Lifan motorcycle, both the good and bad, but I just ended up with maintaining just one blog. If other people are going to purchase a Lifan atleast they will get the information on the type of bike. My main blog is at http://my.opera.com/linuxjunkie/blog/

New changes New changes

I have also two blogs that have more information and photos of my experiences with my lifan. I will have the links to check them out if you want to know more. This link goes to my second blog, http://lifanrider.blogspot.com/   this one goes to my first blog, http://my.opera.com/linuxjunkie/blog/

I also was a member of the Motoriders Club del Peru  There are over 100 members, which was started in 2005, and officially was recongized as a motorcycle club in December 2009. Now I use to have the club patch worn on the backs of my jacket. But I have removed it cebause of the wear and tear of being on the main jacket. I ended up putting on to my vest, which know I find out can not be blue but only black. The club rules seem to have become ever strict as to what you can and can't do. So I became a Free Rider back a while ago. There there are no big rules, you ride independently. I designed a club patch too, as see here
Free Rider

Now the craziest thing down here in Peru is the highway and roads, people drive crazy here. I have read many reports the the craziest drivers but very polite people are here in Peru. And riding a motorcycle is one heck of an experience. I am also on Facebook at Motorcycle Cruisers. Everyone is welcome to join.
